3 recipes for natural insecticides to combat pests in the garden

quintalNothing sadder than seeing your vegetable garden cultivated with love being eaten by
pests. Despite being very annoying, such a situation is very common and the best combat strategy is going the natural way, searching for homemade solutions that repel the invaders. The three recipes below were taken from a booklet produced by the Lutheran University Center of Palmas (CEULPULBRA), Tocantins, in a partnership between students, teachers and agricultural professionals.
-Garlic in biological pest control
Ingredients:
1 kg of garlic
5 liters of water
100 g SOAP
20 Tablespoons (coffee) of mineral oil.
Preparation:
The cloves of garlic should be ground and left to stand for 24 hours in mineral oil. In another container, dissolve 100 grams of SOAP chopped into 5 liters of water, preferably hot. After the dissolution of SOAP, mix the garlic solution. Before use, it is advisable to filter and dilute the mixture with 20 parts water. When sprayed on the plants after 36 hours leaves no smell on agricultural products.
-Peppermint as natural insect repellent
Ingredients:
1 litre of water
1 Pack Mint
Preparation:
Boil the Mint in the water, let cool, strain and spray on plants. The mint tea is very useful for plants in General, protecting them.
Fresh: must be wrapped in the refrigerator in plastic bag for a few days.
To freeze: remove and chop the leaves. Put in a form of ice with water and put it in the freezer.
How to dry: dry outdoors, shaded location and well ventilated for a few days.
In the microwave: Rinse and dry the leaves, separate the stalk and line the dish from the microwave with tissue paper. Spread the leaves on the paper, let the center of the dish free. Take the micro in maximum power three to four minutes.
Dry or powder: should be stored away from light, respecting the term of validity.
-Combat the aphids with cloves-of-dead
Ingredients:
1 kg of eou stalk leaves Carnation-deceased
10 liters of water.
Preparation:
Mix the leaves eou clove stems-of-dead in the water. Light the fire and simmer for half an hour. Strain the broth obtained and spray the plants attacked. The Carnation-defunct when planted in orchards, gardens or orchards, repels insects and keeps the soil free of nematodes. Plant marigolds among the tomato plants to avoid the bit of tomato. In addition, when used as a bed for dogs, blows away fleas.
